The Town of Centerville is the only natural gas supplier in Hickman County.

Clinard's office is in the Centerville Maintenance Building on North Central Avenue.

Natural Gas Rates

The Town of Centerville provides natural gas service for a sizeable portion of Hickman County near Centerville, as well as for in-town residents. The following rates apply:

Gas Tap Connection

• Inside City Limits. $400.00
• Outside City Limits. $600.00

These prices include 100 ft of line. Each additional foot after the first one hundred feet costs $2.00 per foot.

Gas Cut-off and Cut-on Fees:

$50.00 to restore service. Payment must be made before services are restored.

Gas Meter Deposits

• Owner: $100.00, plus a $45.00 meter set fee and a $5.00 paperwork fee, for a total of $150.00.
• Renter: $150.00, plus a $45.00 meter set fee and a $5.00 paperwork fee, for a total of $200 .00.

Customers With Both Gas and Water

• Owner: $100.00 for each deposit, $22.50 for each meter set fee, and a $5.00 paperwork fee for a total of $255.00.
• Renter: $150.00 deposit, meter set fee of $22.50 each, and paperwork fee of $5.00 for a total of $355.00.

Gas Prices

The price of gas fluctuates each month. It is billed at a cost per 1,000 cubic feet.

• Look. Blowing dirt, bubbling water, dry spots in moist areas, or dead plants surrounded by green plants may indicate a natural gas leak.
• Listen. If you hear a hissing sound near a gas appliance or pipe, it may be natural gas leaking.
• Smell. Natural gas has a distinctive, rotten egg-like smell. If you detect even a small amount of this odor, take action.
