The Centerville Police Department reported the following matters in recent days, according to its reports:
Confusion over its language led to Ordinance 895 being tabled by the Centerville Board of Mayor and Aldermen until September 10.
The ordinance, up for approval on first reading, asked the board to confirm or deny the Planning Commission’s decision not to recommend the rezoning of 2292 Skyview Drive from an I-1 light industrial district to an I-2 general industrial district.
Ordinance 895 will be up for approval at the August 13 meeting of the Centerville Board of Mayor and Aldermen, without a favorable recommendation from the Planning Commission.
The ordinance would rezone the former Levi Strauss and Co. building, on Skyview Drive, from an I-1 light industrial district to an 1-2 general industrial district at the request of M’Leah B. Webb.
