New Customer Procedures
We are pleased to serve you at the Town of Centerville. To make your transition easy, here are a few tips about applying for a new service. We provide water, sewer, and gas services for most of Hickman County. Sewer service is available to those located within the city limits.
Water
If you are a homeowner, we require you to fill out an application; new connections also require the cross-connection survey. We also need your social security number, driver's license (or a photo ID), and a $150 deposit to establish service. If you terminate your service, $100 will be refunded to you.
If you are a renter, we require you to fill out an application We require your social security number, driver's license (or a photo ID), a copy of your rental agreement (or letter from your landlord permitting us to turn services on in your name), and a $200 deposit to establish service. If you terminate your service, $150 of your deposit will be refunded or applied to your account when your service is terminated.
Natural Gas Service
Homeowners must fill out an application. We also require your social security number, driver's license (or a photo ID), and a $150 deposit to establish service. If you terminate your service, $100 will be refunded to you.

Combined Gas and Water Service
The same information is required, but we will combine both costs, and you will save $45.00.
Billing Information
Utility bills are handled in City Hall, not with the water or gas departments. Contact the person handling billing.
