Here are some frequently asked questions regarding making payments in person and online and general tax bill questions.

Is the City Recorder required to mail tax notices?

Hickman County Records sends out Town of Centerville tax notices.

Tennessee law does not require mailing tax notices indicating the taxes due. Property owners are presumed to know that taxes are due without personal notice. Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve the payment responsibility, nor is this a reason for interest charges to be dismissed if the tax bill becomes delinquent. (CTAS-1573), T.C.A. § 67-5-2101.
