To pay your utility bills or business taxes, we have made payment available several different ways:
- In person, you may visit the City Hall located in Centerville, Tennessee.
- We also have made payment of these charges available on our website. Simply visit us online, and click on the button at the top of the page that says "If current, pay utility bills online! Click here!" This will take you to the citisenportal.com site where you can pay your utility bills and city property taxes, or even set up monthly payment of utility bills.

Can I come to City Hall and make my utility payment?
Yes, you can come to City Hall. Our staff will greet you and help you with your payment. Our address is:

How can I set up a new account for utility services?
You can come into the office and fill out applications and pay deposits or you may email us the applications, at
I'm a new renter, what do I need to bring to set up new services?
You will need to bring your lease, fill out applications and we will get a copy of a valid DL.
How do I set up automatic draft?
Sign the Bank Draft Form and provide a copy of a check or voided check.
How do I pay my utility bill?
There are multiple ways to pay your bill. We have tried to make it as easy for you, as possible.
- Set up auto draft (with your checking account)
- Pay in person at our office on Swan St.
- After hours night drop (located in the drive thru)
- Call our new 800 number (877-470- 6350)
- Or pay online thru our new website www.centervilletn.org by clicking on the button on the opening screen. You can create an account so you can view your bill online and pay. If you are paying your bill after it was turned off for nonpayment, do not use this method until it is current again.
How many days do I have till my services are disconnected for nonpayment?
You have 10 days after your due date before you are subject to cutoff.
Can I make a partial payment on my utility bill?
You can, but if the bill is not paid in full that doesn't keep you from being subject to cut off.
Do you notify customers before they are cut off for nonpayment?
No. Your notice is 10 days after the due date.
What options do I have to pay my City property taxes?
Cash or check only at this time. There will be an option to pay by credit card in the future.
My utilities have been cut off for nonpayment. Can I add the reconnect fee to my next bill?
No. Payment for the past due balance plus the reconnect fee must be paid in full before services are cut back on.
Where does my deposit go if I move?
Your deposit will be applied to your final bill. If you have a credit after the final bill, we will mail your refund to the forwarding address provided by the customer.
