As the City Building Inspector, there are three different, but related, focuses to her job - City Building Inspector is her title, and she does the BUILDING INSPECTIONS, but she is the person to see about PROPERTY MAINTENANCE and ZONING ORDINANCES.
Ms. Petersen began her career at the Hickman County office in 2017 for Planning & Zoning during which time she received her license as a building inspector.
Petersen does building inspections, but most of her work is for Property Maintenance or Property Zoning issues. Such issues get recorded on the appropriate forms which may be accessed below. Violations can be filed two ways. The best way is for citizens who see a violation to file the appropriate form with the Building Inspector's office. Blystad can also issue a complaint.
Go to the FORMS PORTAL and fill out the appeal form and Submit directly from the portal. It's that easy!
