The Centerville Police Department reported the following matters in recent days, according to reports held by the department:

— On October 14, Marcelo S. Villanueve, 52, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. Officer Cole Parks reported that he observed the suspect’s westbound vehicle cross into the eastbound lane on the Edwin Hickman Memorial Bridge, then leave the roadway more than once.

— On October 15, a 15-year-old Hickman County High student was cited to Juvenile Court for possessing a vape device, which fell to the floor in the cafeteria, School Resource Officer Patrick Brady reported.

— On October 17, a 17-year-old Hickman County High student was cited for possessing a weapon on school property, possessing a tobacco vape prohibited for her age and simple possession of a THC vape. According to School Resource officer Patrick Brady’s report, the student had a pocket knife in her vehicle; a search turned up a set of 12 throwing knives; she told the officer she thought having the weapons in her vehicle would not violate school requirements. The vehicle search turned up multiple nicotine vapes and one THC vape.

— On October 18, Justin M. Shank, 31, of Centerville, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and resisting arrest According to Officer Cole Parks’s report, he is accused of violating an order of protection on Christopher M. Schroer, who told officers that his stepson had punched holes in the wall and threatened to kill Schroer, and resisted Sgt. Jonathan O’Guin’s effort to take him into custody.
