The Centerville Police Department reported the following matters in recent days, according to reports held by the department:
— On February 22, Shawna Williams, 46, of Dickson, was arrested and charged with a second offense of driving under the influence. According to Officer Dusty Talley’s affidavit, he and Deputy Christopher Travis made a traffic stop at Fish Camp Restaurant after a report of an erratic driver. A sobriety test was conducted.
— On March 2, Nicholas Eakes, 38, of Bon Aqua, was arrested and charged with possession of one gram of methamphetamine and possession of contraband in the county jail. Officer Bo Kirkup reported seeing the suspect at Fast Stop No. 6 and had a warrant on him.
— On March 5, three female students at Hickman County High School were cited to Juvenile Court for possession and use of vapes. According to School Resource Sgt. Patrick Brady, the students were in a vocational department bathroom, where an odor of marijuana was present. Two possessed vapes; the third student said she used one.
— On March 9, Brendon D. Sensing, 19, of Linden, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, evading arrest, and driving while his license was revoked. According to the report by Officer Tyler Mobley — recently rehired by the department — he encountered a Chevy C15 traveling on Highway 100 at 62 miles per hour in a 40-mph zone. He sought a traffic stop, but the vehicle would not pull over, and he pursued it out Highway 48 North and into Dickson, where officers used spike strips to stop the truck. The suspect ran off but was apprehended.
