The Centerville Police Department reported the following matter, according to reports held by the department:
— On January 29, officers Dusty Talley and Neal Shaffer spoke with Jordan Hansel, who said she was scammed out of $150 by someone claiming to be a sheriff’s deputy. Hansel said the man on the phone told her she had missed a jury trial and would either have a warrant sent out for her arrest or be required to pay a $3,000 fine, starting with a $150 payment.
