After learning last week that Centerville had received a $250,000 state infrastructure planning grant, Mayor Gary Jacobs is developing a plan for utilizing the funds.

The grant is “fully funded” and “requires no local match” according to Jacobs.

“My hope is to use the majority of this grant to inspect and assess the wastewater sewer system in the downtown part of Centerville,” Jacobs said. “This is the oldest part of our system.”

Jacobs said he is working with engineers.
