The Centerville Police Department reported the following matters in recent days, according to reports held by the department:

— On January 13, Officer Cody Gilbert went to Fast Stop in Centerville, where Destiny Pye said she had been threatened by a woman with a firearm. According to Gilbert’s report, Pye said she had left her family’s home on Columbia Avenue when a fast vehicle came up to a stop sign, and she had to slow down to ensure the vehicle would stop. The vehicle then followed her through town. The vehicle followed her to Fast Stop and the driver waved a firearm at her when she saw that Pye was on the phone with 911. The vehicle then sped off.

— On January 13, Officer John Nelson went to the Edwin Hickman Memorial Bridge in response to an unruly juvenile. The juvenile’s mother said she and her daughter had been involved in an argument, after which the juvenile left home on foot. The mother said her daughter had jumped the guard rail. Officers located the juvenile on the opposite side of a creek embankment. The juvenile was taken into custody.
